Termite Coprolites in Opalized Gymnosperm Wood

Each smaller than the head of a pin, these termite gems are preserved in opalized gymnosperm wood. Many of fecal pellets lack distinct hexagonal cross-section. This could indicate that they are from dampwood termites.
